The Space
This wonderful countryside location creates the perfect setting to get away from it all. After a day exploring the Welsh countryside, light up the fire, wrap up in a blanket and watch the moon rise over the mountains.

Dafad Du comes equipped with a king size bed for lazy lie-ins and a compact kitchen for cosy suppers indoors. However, when the weather permits, spend your nights snuggled up around the fire-pit toasting marshmallows or watching the stars in the pristine night sky.

On arrival you will find your fridge stocked with a luxury hamper of local produce - ready for a sumptuous breakfast in the morning.

Neighborhood
Dafad Du is situated on the Wales/Herefordshire border, only five miles from the famous book town of Hay-on-Wye - known for its second-hand bookshops and literary festival. Mid Wales offers a wealth of things to keep you occupied; whether it be outdoor pursuits or visiting the many historic towns and villages.

The site is situated in the foothills of the Black Mountains and only a few miles from the Brecon Beacons and the Offas Dyke Trail. There are also several cycling routes in the area, while the River Wye is two miles away, with Llangorse Lake being five miles away.

The Brecon Beacons is a beautiful part of Wales and is one of the only destinations in the UK that is an official Dark Sky Reserve! You can expect the most stunning landscapes across the national park as well as a whole host of activities to take part in. With over 1,200 miles of public rights of way, you can enjoy a stroll or cycle as you breathe in the fresh air. Adventurers will love the water-sports, rock climbing, abseiling and caving activities on offer. Those looking for a more laidback retreat can enjoy stargazing, shopping and the many restaurants, pubs and cafes throughout the park.
