A fabulous apartment, unbelievably accessible to everything we did! And we did a lot. Roof terrace was a great place to chill out. People watching from the massive lounge window was fun to. There was a little noise from the street in the main bedroom but it didn’t bother us. Will definitely be back.

Good space and central location.
Love the fact the parking can be refunded if you use carpark next door.

I'm not used to being in centre of a town so outside noise is a negative but to be expected.

Great place - loved the roof top terrace and people watching from the incredible bay window - There was noise from the hustle and bustle of nearby bars at the end of the night but we didn't mind that at all.
Parking right opposite and the location was absolutely brilliant - walkable to all the beautiful parks and shopping areas of Harrogate - we would definitely stay there again!

All was superb except the unfortunate rave music both nights from the Cuban night club in the street. It was unreal until around 3 am!!!! If you want to tune it out don’t stay in the front bedroom. Very upsetting!

The place itself is really nice and the location is great.

The company are possibly the worst I’ve ever stayed with. Firstly they charged a damage fee which is not stated the price of anywhere on booking.com. It’s now been 5 weeks since our stay and I am still yet to receive our parking cost reimbursement with the team putting it off every time I email… will we ever get the money back? I doubt it! Free parking is not true.

The outdoor roof top flooring needs some work too as some parts are broken. All of this is a shame because the place itself is great.

Oxford House is centrally located in Harrogate, and it was a delight to be able to walk to shops and restaurants. Though the accommodations were adequate, the apartment fell short of what was promised in the listing. Though the listing includes "free onsite parking," guests actually pay upfront for parking in a public garage, and must email receipts to the host and wait for a reimbursement. Worse yet, the public garage is closed overnight, meaning that guests must park their cars by 11:00 pm, and not have access to them until 7:00 am. The host also lists air conditioning and a work space as amenities, but to our knowledge, the apartment had neither. Also, a number of things in the apartment, such as the Nespresso machine and some electrical outlets, did not work. All of this said, the apartment has several nice features, including a roof patio and upscale kitchen appliances.

Great location. Very modern and clean.

The noise .. due to single pane glass. Drunk people shouting from the street below.

Good size lots of little touches made it feel nice. Clean. Lots of room.

Nothing really, only issue is nespresso machine needed descaling so didn’t work. But they had other coffee and hadn’t impacted my stay at all really.

The space was great. Kitchen had all we needed in facilities. Two good bedrooms and bathrooms. Living space had a large comfortable sofa to chill on.

Initially we struggled to understand light and fire switches. But once we were shown we understood. WiFi access was a problem. But we were advised it had just needed rebooted.

I read some of the reviews and I’m not in agreement with some of them. This is 5/5 stars and nothing less. The place was beautiful and we loved it. The professionalism was on point from first contact to last, all the details were spot on. Whoever did the interior design - big applause. Just couldn’t fault it. I loved the stairs up to the apartment, the corridor, the place. I could live there. Want to be back and I can’t wait to stay again. Defo found a favourite spot in Harrogate. I should probably write a bad review so people don’t book it as much so it’s always available for myself ? selfish

Another reminder to always read the reviews before booking! This is managed by a company not the owner & unfortunately this is a big problem, so far away from what Airbnb was / should be. We had a problem with our heating - wayyy too hot, the Wi-Fi was wrong & never worked. The company just fobbed us off with “we are have notified our maintenance team to get this sorted for you etc etc & never intended to help us. We couldn’t sleep because it was too hot, the noise from the street was extremely loud both nights until 5am. I wouldn’t recommend staying here. I tried to do something about this whilst we were staying but it was useless & wasted my time whilst I was there.

The owner has clearly put a lot of effort into this property so it is a shame that they are let down on a few things. The house manual isn’t up to date. The wifi name/code was wrong. Was told on 3 occasions by the property managers that they would sort it and get back to me, nobody did.
Other reviews mentioned the noise throughout the night from drunk people in the street below. I assumed they were exaggerating (I can usually sleep through anything). It was AWFUL! Waves of drunk groups shouting outside which went on for hours. The owner should consider putting in secondary glazing in the double room to cut down on the noise.
The house manual did not describe accurately how to manage the heating. The first night was unbearable at over 25 degrees through the house (couldn’t open the windows because of the noise outside.) Managed to switch heating off second night but couldn’t then switch it on again so we were freezing.
Coffee machine not working.
Dishwasher wasn’t emptied.

1/ geriatric, STAY AWAY. No lift.
2/ too many steps to top floor. steps, steps, steps. INSIDE flat, No handrails, to climb upstairs; just glass & more glass
3/ entire stay NO WIFI
4/ shelf wobbly.
5/ check your bed before you jump in. I only found out next morning, 1 big stain on duvet.
5/ expect guests to clear waste but you don’t provide spare bin bag.
6/ no kitchen rolls.
7/ provide an expresso machine, but no capsules! Another property I booked too used MANAGEMENT company to provide service, coffee was offered and MORE, MORE & MORE!!
8/ claim to be an up market property, yes I’ll agree if I were to view it on photographs, it’s very much a “lad and lass” sort/of champagne clinking group. Short of FOOTBALLER’s WIFE style. Not practical for family who are over 60. We can’t even climb out of that PLUSH LOOKING (good to admire) sofa. Too soft and too wide.
I shall stick to my individually hosted properties in future which I enjoyed during my 15th visit to Harrogate.

Stayed for 2 nights. Beautiful apartment completed to a high standard and well furnished. Only problem was the noise from the music from local bars which didn’t stop until 2am and then people passing by until 6am. From the front bedroom you can hear people just having a conversation so didn’t get to sleep until well into the early hours of the morning on the first night. On the 2nd night, I slept on the floor in the back bedroom which was perfectly quiet, thanks goodness but not ideal. Shame cos the apartment itself is gorgeous and in a perfect location for the centre of Harrogate so we didn’t need to use the car at all, just used public transport.

Lovely stay, very spacious, comfortable and excellently equipped. Heating was a little confusing but the fire sufficed. On the street side it was surprisingly noisy at night for a midweek stay, but the rear bedroom was peaceful.

We stayed at the AirBnB for a family members Birthday weekend away! The place was really spacious and modern, with great open plan spaces to hang out, cook and catch up! The main living room area was a great social space, with the large window and views down onto the street below! The showers were also really luxurious!
Being so central the AirBnB was perfectly located for visiting the town and going out for meals and drinks! Obviously being so central there was some noise from the street, this wasn't a real problem for us but depending on where you are used to staying/ living maybe bring a pair of earphones just to be safe if you are staying in the front bedroom!
The hosts provided a useful link to all the key information surrounding our stay which was very helpful to know any questions we had we could simply refer to the link!
Due to the time of year we visited we didn't get to use the terrace to its full potential but it was a really incredible space to have! A great bonus!

Overall standard very high

The only downside is that the excellent central location means you do get the noise of the revellers on a weekend stay until the early hours.

the apartment is very spacious and extremely clean with lots of modern features, feels very smart and comfortable also very walkable to the centre, the only down side was we stayed on a Friday and Saturday night which meant there was a lot of noise from the front of the property with people on a night out.

This was a lovely spacious and bright apartment. The realistic gas fireplace was super warm and cozy and the lounge couches very relaxing. The kitchen was functional for our needs, though we didn't cook any meals except for eggs, but there were plenty of pots and pans in the cupboards. The coffee machine and pods provided made a very dark and yummy coffee and it was handy the tea bags were provided as well (though no milk, so pick up a bottle on your way over!) Having the outside terrace was a real bonus and it was pleasant to sit in the sunshine having a cup of tea.
Despite the beds being comfortable, the noise from people coming out of the bars/clubs on Friday and Saturday nights comes straight through the thin windows, so unfortunately I kept being woken up by shouting and laugther until about 4am. Bring earplugs! The bathrooms/showers nice and clean. Shampoo, conditioner and shower soap are not provided, so that was slightly inconvenient- bring your own.

Beautifully luxurious, comfortable, pretty place

Only told after booking that we could not get the keys until we paid a 250 pounds deposit. Also that there was a 10/15? pounds non refundable booking fee. Door to appartments super hard to get into and out of, and the house was all working on remotes, the heating, fire etc, but the info didn't match or work easily, resulting in house super hot, unable to control fire, lights etc. Also the owner then asked if he could send someone in to survey the house while we were there, and someone came in, accessing all rooms, for well over an hour, while we were there in pyjamas..

Sent everything off for ID to be verified for the compulsory insurance days before the booking. Contacted the host on the day of travel to get the check-in details only to be informed that my ID hadn’t been verified. They wanted different documents but as I had travelled to the venue they could not be provided. Took far longer than it should have to be sorted out and was a stressful start to the trip.
Accommodation location was good, there are some drunks who hang out around the corner from the location and it did get a bit noisy at night as it is on a thoroughfare. Access to central Harrogate was easy.
Property was largely clean, but the dishwasher was full from the previous guests and there was a dirty cloth just left in the living room. Most dishes in the cupboards weren’t fully clean.
Had to spend 20 minutes defrosting and clearing the ice maker on the fridge.
Seating area is comfy as are the beds.
All in all just a few things took the shine off it.

The apartment is exactly how it is described and how it looks in the photos. Parking is just across the road, everything is walking distance. We couldn’t have been happier with the apartment. As soon as we contacted the hosts about anything, they replied, straight away, having the addition of outside space, was amazing. Would highly recommend the apartment and a host.

We lived in Harrogate for many years and came back to visit friends - the location of the flat was perfect and allowed for easy movement within the city. The check in process was easy peasy as was communication. The only (small) downside is the noise on Friday and Saturday night. The flat is in a very popular area and it can get loud in the master bedroom. Although we were able to sleep through most of it. Will definitely book again!

The property was very clean and a huge space!

The location of the property is in the heart of Harrogate which is great to get to restaurants nearby however, the master bedroom looks onto the main high street. The noise was horrendous, we didn’t sleep at all, yes it was a Saturday night and people were screaming and drunk until approx 5.30am. I thought Sunday would of been better, but the noise is just so loud from the street, it’s like people are in your bedroom.

As advertised, good location, clean, safe, quiet modern apartment. Everything worked. Management company helped enormously when a bag was left by mistake after checkout. One criticism extra small 2 day soap, only one one plastic trash bag. Many steps to apartment and bedrooms on floor above living/kitchen room. I would booked it again. Give it 4.8/5.

The host is a company and even before we started there we’re piles of automated messages. The host did respond to my questions very quickly though. But when I called the agent was rude.
The host agent got the wrong apartment number so I had to call.
The heating thermostat didn’t work despite me being in contact. I followed their instructions but it still didn’t work.
Next morning after a freezing night I was getting out of the shower when a man entered the apartment unannounced and I was naked. This was really unsettling.
I left and had to get a hotel. All the food is bought was wasted as the hotel room fridge didn’t have big enough space (not their fault - a minibar).
The communication was very prompt but ot was different people each time and they clearly didn’t read the previous communication.
I was there for work (NHS clinician) and it was really stressful.
I would not stay in any of this company’s properties as they do not have the spirit of the old airbnb - not homely or caring

The modern and updated decor, and central location was very convenient and close to shops and dining. Clean and tidy.

I didn’t have a working outlet in the master bedroom so I had to charge my devices downstairs. Lovely flat in the heart of Harrogate - perfect for a family. We were able to easily explore the area & cook in the evenings. Lovely decor & comfy beds. We really enjoyed our stay & would highly recommend. Only thing to note - the wooden stairs from the top floor to the living space had no handrail & stairs were a bit slippy in socks - so not ideal for small children or those with mobility issues.

Brilliant location in the center of town! The apartment was stunning and would definitely want to stay again.
However the car park situation is not ideal. the decor, the furniture, the view, the location was all very very good

we couldn’t sleep as the front bedroom was on a very noisy street music playing until 4 in the morning and noisy people walking up & down all night. there was no tea spoons no tin opener no cooking utensils. there also needs to be a banister on the stairs & bins in the bathrooms & toilet brushes. these are just my observations over all a stunning apartment but too noisy in the main bedroom so not slept very well for 2 nights would love to stay again.

Oxford House doesn't have private parking but parking charges will be reimbursed for one vehicle per stay when using the Jubilee Car Park next door.
The property doesn't have a separate dining room but it does benefit from an open plan kitchen diner.
