The Space
The front of the cottage, where you’ll find the living room, faces onto the pretty square and there are distant views toward the sea and harbour from some of the first-floor rooms too. The living room is equipped with a sofa, two armchairs, a flat screen TV, and a cosy log burner.

The contemporary kitchen/dining area to the rear of Harbour Holm is particularly well appointed and additional leather corner seating offers a peaceful spot to relax. Patio doors lead to a lovely enclosed and private area – idyllic for alfresco dining where a small hill forms as a backdrop.

All three bedrooms at Harbour Holm can be found on the first floor where there is a king, twin and single room – ideal for family getaways or stays with friends.

The family bathroom is also located upstairs. Here you’ll have the option to take a relaxing bath or a refreshing shower.

Harbour Holm makes an excellent choice for those seeking a coastal retreat giving easy access to explore the 20 miles of magnificent stretch of Heritage coastline that Northumberland is proud to have designated as An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Neighborhood
Harbour Holm is located in the beautiful town of Amble on the Northumberland coastline. With a bustling marina and long stretching sandy shores, there is plenty of fun to be had here. You can try your hand at watersports as there are plenty of activities on offer including sailing, canoeing, kayaking and fishing. Hop on a boat trip to The Coquet Island, just a mile off the coast, to discover an array of wildlife. There are 35,000 nesting birds in the summer and a colony of over 600 seals!

Amble is also home to delicious restaurants and cosy pubs so you can enjoy a truly relaxing break. As Amble is a fishing town, you can expect the best seafood fresh from the coast.

If it’s shopping you’re looking for, the town has lots of independent stores. Head to Harbour Village and you’ll find 15 brand new pods selling arts, crafts, food, drink and gifts.

Getting Around
Amble is located 15 miles from Morpeth and roughly 9 miles from Alnwick on the coast, so it is perfectly situated for exploring Northumberland.

There are plenty of great bus routes making it easy to travel around the area. Hop on the X18 which travels from Alnwick through to Newcastle with stops in Craster, Seahouses and Bamburgh.

The nearest train station is roughly five miles away in Alnmouth. Located on the main East coast line, express trains stop at Alnmouth train station throughout the day so you can get a direct train to London in just 3 and a half hours. Great stay at Harbour Holm. In the middle of town just near the square so really handy for pubs and restaurants. Parking no issue.
Lovely house with everything you could think of (and some things you wouldn't have thought of).

As soon as we walked into Harbour Home. We felt at home. Lovely spacious house, cosy warm and warm. Loved having to comfortable rooms to relax in. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need. So well equipped.
The bedroom had the most comfortable king size bed. There was plenty of storage for all our clothes.
The bathroom was light and airy. So great to see the sea in the distance first thing in the morning. Enjoyed the big bath for a great soak as well as an electric shower.
Where the cottage was situated in Amble was perfect to walk to the shops, the lovely little retail pods and great restaurants.
We bought amazing fresh fish on the harbour side when the boats had been able to get out.
Soo good to be able to walk to the first beach within 10 mins and the second one about 15 mins.
Amble was a great place to explore the coastline. And to have a lovely home to come back to at the end of a busy day was great. Looking forward to our next visit already.
